No I've Got a Real Bike

I was born for speed Baby, speed I tell you. We then removed the helmet for mashed carrots and a change of diaper :)

I Invited Friends to Dinner

I invited Aunty Kate and Uncle Justin over for dinner, mam and dad didn't seem to mind, they were cool. In fact they hung out with us for a while to, just long enough for the old lady to make the food and serve it and the old geezer to pour the wine.

Uncle Justin and I hung out at the end of the table, in a strange orange haze, man, what was in that wine. Not sure the food can have been up to much as Uncle Justin appeared to be trying to bite chunks out of Aunty Kates head. Must have words with mum about her cooking.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells

Christmas came and went in the blink of an eye. Atticus loved all the wrapping paper and only later notices that new toys were around the house. Mama was unfortunately in bed due to a dreaded migraine for the best part of the festivities but Tata occupied Atti for the day and it all went smoothly.

We were still recovering somewhat from the jet lag of our flight from the UK but Atticus didn't let it stop him at all. He had several Christmas outfits for the occasion and wore each of them for a portion of the day - looking mighty adorable in all three.

Surprisingly Atti didn't take that much notice of the lovely tree. I totally expected it to be pulled over at some stage during the festivities but it held up well. He was interested, like all kids, in all of the brightly coloured boxes underneath it however. Thankfully with him not crawling yet it mad things a lot easier for us.

Meeting Deda

Atticus met Deda for the first time a couple of days after we arrived in London. It was a very, very happy event for both boys. Atticus took immediately to Deda and vice versa. That was great for me as I could pass on feeding duties and cuddling duties to someone else for a while.

To London, To London

Off to Blighty we went via Virgin Atlantic on 27th November. We arrived feeling remarkably awake and bright at Heathrow where Granny Branka was waiting camera in hand to greet us.

Stormin Who?

Atticus paraded a little outfit for Halloween which suited his up standing credentials, straight back, multiple chins. He did well, served until at least milk time and then crashed in his crib for 8 hours.

The Windy City

Atticus took his first flight, albeit only a short one of 4 hours, to Chicago to meet up with Daddy who had been teaching there all week. We flew out on Friday 29th September, taking far more than we needed but having never done this before we decided to make sure all eventualities were covered.

Atticus was a dream, and did indeed dream, he slept for pretty much the entire flight thanks to his booby feeding pillow. He received many compliments after landing, the best of which was from the person right in front of us who told us that he hadn't even realised there was a baby there at all. Mommy was very proud.

We did lots of sight seeing, took another first in the shape of a boat ride. Soaked in the atmosphere and nice weather, until the last day of horrid rain and storms that kept us on the runway for 6 hours. All the time Atticus was content to sit back and enjoy and then sleep.

We stayed in a nice little convenient hotel, with sink hanging off the wall and singing shower - all very entertaining.
