The Windy City

Atticus took his first flight, albeit only a short one of 4 hours, to Chicago to meet up with Daddy who had been teaching there all week. We flew out on Friday 29th September, taking far more than we needed but having never done this before we decided to make sure all eventualities were covered.

Atticus was a dream, and did indeed dream, he slept for pretty much the entire flight thanks to his booby feeding pillow. He received many compliments after landing, the best of which was from the person right in front of us who told us that he hadn't even realised there was a baby there at all. Mommy was very proud.

We did lots of sight seeing, took another first in the shape of a boat ride. Soaked in the atmosphere and nice weather, until the last day of horrid rain and storms that kept us on the runway for 6 hours. All the time Atticus was content to sit back and enjoy and then sleep.

We stayed in a nice little convenient hotel, with sink hanging off the wall and singing shower - all very entertaining.

My First Concert

Went to my first concert today with Dad and Aunty Linda and Uncle Tim. Not sure about the music, think it was a bit hippy'ish but who am I to judge all I get to listed to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Anyway it was very sunny and I got to wear my cool new hat.

Laugh A Lot

Atticus was spending a quiet morning with Mummy in the kitchen just mulling over the to'ings and fro'ings of the day when I told him the funniest joke. I can't quite remember what it was but it really made him laugh.

Like the Wheels

I felt very comfortable in my new set of wheels, they were certainly more comfortable than the wheels Dad has that we came home from the hospital in. What is with the suspension on that thing he drives? It's like being on a roller coaster when all the ball bearings have gone.

I think I got the better deal :)

Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner and Milk

I was resting between the sofa, bed and nursery for the next two weeks or so. Antun and mum were fab making sure I didn't do anything that would be too much. I was fed and watered on time each day by them and Atti had the same done for him by me.

Antun became quite the expert at diapers and feeding schedules. My mum was indespensible and kept the house all in order and we always had clean socks. Antuns mum arrived for a few days and filled the freezer with lots of beans mmmmmmm. Friends came by and Atticus was an angel and was happy to sit on all laps and be baby talked to without a whimper or whine.

We caught up on lots of sleep, although Atticus did sleep very well, usually only waking up once during the night for a top up and bottom change. I did sneak occasional naps during the day with him, but these were few and far between, even though it's what I was told I should be doing.
